101st Annual Lantern Night: Celebrate the Light of Learning

Lantern Night, the University’s oldest tradition, welcomes new students to the University community as alumni symbolically pass the Light of Learning from one generation of Pitt students to the next.

The 101st Annual Lantern Night was celebrated on Sunday, Aug. 29, 2021. More than 2,800 students and alumni gathered to honor this special tradition.
