Ask Pitt Alumni

Introducing Ask Pitt Alumni, the new virtual service designed to help Pitt students and young alumni get quick answers to their career-related questions.

Now, more than ever, we need to help Pitt students and recent graduates cultivate meaningful, productive connections within the Pitt community. This pilot program, which will be rolled out to the broader Pitt alumni community soon, is just one of the ways Pitt is coming to the aid of its community members in a challenging time.

How it works:

It’s simple. Students and recent graduates submit a question via the Ask Pitt Alumni online form, which is then fielded by artificial intelligence software and directed to a Pitt graduate with that professional expertise. Alumni who have been selected or matched will receive an email from askalumni@pitt.edu, with directions on how to connect and answer the student’s question.

Everyone is encouraged to participate in a way that works for them: These conversations can be lengthy and in-depth or short and to the point. The important thing is that those seeking specific guidance now have immediate access to a tool that can quickly provide answers.

If the alumna or alumnus feels the question is outside of their expertise, they can simply pass, and the question will be sent to the next qualified graduate.
