Web Services Privacy Policy

All personally identifiable information provided by the University of Pittsburgh alumni and other donors is strictly reserved for use by authorized university employees, contractors, and alumni volunteers for university-related purposes only. Information you provide to the University will never be sold or traded to other educational institutions, nonprofit organizations, or businesses without your consent.

Our online giving process is protected by both our web contractor, iModules, and our eCommerce Payment Gateway vendor, Cybersource, providing secure monetary transactions with certification as a Service Provider Level 1 through the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS). iModules is the leading online Constituent Engagement Management provider for educational institutions. The University of Pittsburgh does not store credit card numbers after an online transaction has been completed.

The University of Pittsburgh does not routinely publish donors’ names and does not identify donors and their giving information without consent 

On rare occasions, the University of Pittsburgh may be legally compelled to disclose certain information, such as in response to a subpoena or court order.
