University of Pittsburgh - Pennsylvania License Plate

Dear University of Pittsburgh Alumni and Friends:

I am delighted to inform you that our University of Pittsburgh license plate is now available from the State of Pennsylvania. It is easy to get a Pitt license plate, which is a wonderful way to promote our University.

As you can see from the sample, the new plates feature the Pitt seal and the words "University of Pittsburgh." Pitt plates are available for purchase by any University alumnus/na, faculty or staff member, or friend and will allow you to show off your Pitt Pride while you are out and about and "on the road."

Plates are available for a one-time fee of $20, made payable to the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. An application form is available on this web site for you to print out. If you do not have access to a printer, you can leave your name, mailing address and phone number at (412) 624-2969 or email the information to plates@ia.pitt.edu, and an application will be sent to you. When you complete the application, please include your check and mail to the P.O. Box number below for the quickest return:

Bureau of Motor Vehicles
Special Organizational Plate Program
P.O. Box 68031
Harrisburg, PA 17106

When you receive your Pitt plate, you will also receive information about recycling your old plate.

We do hope that you will choose to invest in a "mobile piece" of the University of Pittsburgh by purchasing one of these new Pitt plates. Thanks again for sharing your Pitt Pride — see you on the road!

Sincerely,

Albert J. Novak
Vice Chancellor, Institutional Advancement
