What is PMADD?
Pitt Make A Difference Day (PMADD) is the University’s largest day of service, engaging over 4,000 students, alumni, staff, and faculty! PMADD is an opportunity for alumni to show their Pitt spirit and serve their communities across the world.
The 11th annual Pitt Make A Difference Day will be held on Saturday, October 20, 2018, and this year, the Pitt Alumni Association will be teaming up with PittServes, the University’s community service engagement office, to facilitate a variety of civic engagement projects worldwide to demonstrate how the Pitt community can make a difference wherever they are!
Who hosts the service activities?
Pitt alumni—especially members of the Pitt Clubs, which are located in cities throughout the U.S. and across the globe—volunteer to coordinate and lead the ‘Make A Difference Day’ service activities.
What types of service activities are offered?
Alumni volunteers select the service activity for their region, and they can vary from public park cleanups to volunteering at a local food bank. Interested participants can contact the listed host to learn of the exact activity occurring in their region. See below for a current listing of participating regions. Be sure to check back regularly for last minute additions.
