Pitt Business Redefines Alumni "Impact" as "Lives Touched"

Colleges and universities struggle to measure the impact alumni have on the world. Researchers at Pitt’s Joseph M. Katz Graduate School of Business have developed a novel approach to measure “lives touched” to better understand the broad impact of a university education on society. All Pitt alumni are encouraged to participate in this research study.

The iSchool Inclusion Institute (i3) is an award-winning diversity initiative that recruits and prepares underrepresented students for graduate study and careers in the information sciences. Its mission is to increase both the number and diversity of students prepared for research, teaching, and professional careers. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service: January 15

The University of Pittsburgh’s Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service will be held on Monday, January 15, 2018 from 8:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. Pittsburgh-area alumni and their families are invited to participate. All volunteers will receive a t-shirt, light breakfast, and lunch. Registration closes on January 8, 2018.
