iSchool Celebrates Graduates at Spring 2015 Recognition Ceremony

On April 26, the iSchool hosted its 2015 Recognition Ceremony and celebrated 322 recent graduates. Dean Ronald L. Larsen led the day’s events, alongside Department Chairs Bob Perkoski, Peter Brusilovsky, David Tipper, and Sheila Corrall at the University of Pittsburgh’s Alumni Hall. 2015 Bernadette Callery Archives Lecture Series, May 29

Join the iSchool as we host the 2015 Bernadette Callery Archives Lecture Series on May 29, 2015 at 10:30 am in the IS Building, Third Floor (135 N. Bellefield Avenue). Richard J. Cox, professor, and Amelia Acker, assistant professor, will lead, “Charting the Future of Archives and Archival Work: A Panel Discussion.” Panelists include Anne Van Camp, Director of the Smithsonian Institution Archives; Dr. Robert Riter, assistant professor, University of Alabama School of Library and Information Studies; and Deidre Scaggs, associate dean, Special Collections Research Center and Director of the Wendell H. The iSchool is seeking nominations for the 2015 Distinguished Alumni Award, Professional Achievement Award, and Young Alumni Award. These awards recognize iSchool alumni for their contributions to the University of Pittsburgh, the School, the associated professions, and society.
